While have been standing here making hamburger gravy and homemade rolls for dinner trying to come up with a blog topic that would be interesting and a conversation starter. Lets hope I picked a good one.
….Drum roll please…. Board Games! 🙂
I have always loved a good board game. When I was little the options were limited due to location and money. We had quite a few we made up on our own. I think I even created a board game at one point. Obviously it wasnt that exciting because it didn’t stick around 🙂 I lived out in the woods so more of our winter games were “Catch the Chicken and sled down the hill with it.” Summer games were:
“Lock the little sister (me) in the chicken coop.”
Yes that is me, and might I add thank you sis for the life long memory ❤
When we got older we played Monopoly, Life, Card games, Sorry (which I was a very sore loser at) Old Maid, Uno, and a few more that I can’t think of at the moment.
I have passed my love for the games I played when I was younger to them. It is cool to see the face lift so many games have gotten. A few of their games consist of: Sorry Sliders, Connect 4 Spongebob, Hi Ho Cherrio, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, Monopoly, Guess Who, Hungry Hippos, Checkers, and Peanut butter and Jelly.
Old vs New “Chutes and Ladders”
Old vs New “Candyland”
Old vs New “Sorry”
Now its time to hear what some of your favorite Board games were as a child and what they are now! Your comments and stories are very welcome, I love hearing from you. 🙂
