Let’s Talk Board Games!

While have been standing here making  hamburger gravy and homemade rolls for dinner trying to come up with a blog topic that would be interesting and a conversation starter. Lets hope I picked a good one.

….Drum roll please…. Board Games! 🙂

I have always loved a good board game. When I was little the options were limited due to location and money. We had quite a few we made up on our own. I think I even created a board game at one point. Obviously it wasnt that exciting because it didn’t stick around 🙂 I lived out in the woods so more of our winter games were “Catch the Chicken and sled down the hill with it.” Summer games were:

“Lock the little sister (me) in the chicken coop.”

Yes that is me, and might I add thank you sis for the life long memory ❤

When we got older we played Monopoly, Life, Card games, Sorry (which I was a very sore loser at) Old Maid, Uno, and a few more that I can’t think of at the moment.

I have passed my love for the games I played when I was younger to them. It is cool to see the face lift so many games have gotten. A few of their games consist of:  Sorry Sliders, Connect 4 Spongebob, Hi Ho Cherrio, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, Monopoly, Guess Who, Hungry Hippos, Checkers, and Peanut butter and Jelly.

  1. I laughed when you said you were making dinner and thinking of a blog post. I can totally relate. I feel like I am constantly thinking of blog post topics while I do everything: drive to work, make dinner, take a shower- it can be pretty all consuming. I love your post idea: Board Games. I am a true lover of Board Games. Clue was always my favorite game, but Monopoly is a classic favorite. I remember spending hours playing Monopoly with my sister. I like how they updated Monopoly and automated it with credit cards but sometimes it is funny to play the Old School version.

    • Haha I know what you mean about always thinking about post. At the moment I am sitting on the counter in my kitchen taking a break from the ongoing spring cleaning. 🙂 I loved Monopoly too. I think it was imagining I had so much money 🙂 Oh to have a stack of 500$ bills would be lovely right about now. I never played clue but was always interested in it.
Thank you so much for your comment!
